summary report
The 9th annual National Tarbiyat Conference was held at Masjid Mahmood in Detroit on 18th Nov 2023.
Apart from Tarbiyat Secretaries, Presidents and Missionaries were invited to this conference. A total of 100 attendees representing 46 Jamaats were present. (15 Presidents, 34 Missionaries, 29 Tarbiyat Secretaries and 12 National / Regional Tarbiyat team members)
The conference included some parallel tracks where Tarbiyat Secretaries attended one session while Presidents and Missionaries attended a parallel session. The focus was on improving personal relationships at the local level and with our local membership.
In one of the workshops, members made live calls to their membership during the session. Total of 325 such calls were made and 70 follow on meetings were arranged during these calls.
Murabbi Daanyal Qureshi introduced the Small Acts. Big Rewards. poster, a printed copy of which was delivered to the attendees.
All Jamaats were also given a printed copy of the
Tarbiyat Secretary Handbook.
At the end of the session, a survey was done to collect feedback from the attendees. 77 attendees responded to the survey, of which 36 were Tarbiyat Secretaries.
60% of the attendees reported to have a very good overall impression about the conference. New Paragraph
Most of the attendees reported that the arrangements - Transportation, Accommodation and Hospitality were excellent or satisfactory.
Tarbiyat Secretaries were asked to rate various sessions they attended during the day.
94% of the Tarbiyat Secretaries said they feel better equipped to maintain personal relationships with the membership after the conference.
80% are committed to work to improve Salat Ashara attendance and to establish more Salat Centers.
89% committed to improve participation during the monthly Tarbiyat meetings.
